Dr. Brian Detrick was appointed to serve as Kingwood Church of the Nazarene's Senior Pastor on January 24, 2016. Prior to that, he served four different Southern Baptist Churches throughout the state of North Carolina.

The attributes that best describe Dr. Brian Detrick as a pastor is his strong preaching, teaching, leadership development, counseling, and loving spirit. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Kingwood Church of the Nazarene where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.  He takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

He graduated from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's & Doctor of Divinity degree. 

Dr. Brian Detrick is happily married to his wife, Tamara. They have three lovely children: Abbey Brown, Caroline Dawson, and Meredith Hale. They have two Sons-In-Law: Cade Brown & Jesse Hale.

Jesse Hale was appointed to serve as Kingwood Church of the Nazarene's Youth Leader in June of 2021.

He's focused on bringing the Word to the hearts and minds of teens and preteens to help them build a better life in accordance with God's will. Bible studies are full of serious discussions, hard laughs, and fun games. By creating a comfortable environment where each teen is welcome, they are able to rely on their peers to help them navigate a sinful and broken world.

Jesse graduated from West Virginia University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He is currently studying for his ministry license through the Nazarene Bible College.

After 8 years, Jesse Hale married his high school sweetheart, Meredith. While they don't have any kids yet, they spend their time taking care of two dogs: Sawyer and Willow Mia.
